About Askar
My name is Askar and I run this blog, WinDev.
For the past 9 years+ I was working with the Microsoft technologies and I’m proud of doing what I’m doing for a living. I’ve been thru the days of procedural Visual Basic days thru COM/DCOM days thru Windows DNA days thru .NET days. It’s been pretty interesting to see how these technologies evolved to where it is now. Lately I’ve digging into .NET 3.0 stuffs and it seems pretty interesting and mature. Hope it lives upto its expectations.
Also I was so obsessed with the Web 2.0 stuff and when Time magazine opted us as the “Person of the Year” that dignified my obsession. It is just so crazy with all the newbie Web 2.0 stuffs but can’t complain as it is more interesting with more people trying to do things differently and giving the control to the user community.
Did I tell you that I’m a big fan of Web Standards?
Apart from these tech stuffs I like to read blogs (read Google Reader), develop little utilities that serves something meaningful, develop software, try out new tech stuffs, try out interesting tools (my laptop is loaded with quite a bit of try out tools), skinning (I keep skinning my XP), 24 (Fox), listening to podcasts, ScobleShow and quite a bunch of things.
